Song of Songs - Iconofly (2025)
The Song of Songs (or the Song of Perfumes) is a perfume undertaken in collaboration with the French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusalem which intends to recreate the scent of the Song of Songs based on all the plants mentioned in this mystical book.
Aside from the botanical and historical research provided by the FBAS, Helwani used hermeneutical keys to decipher the hidden meaning of the text, an endeavour that proved insightful as it yielded a perfume formula coded in between the lines of the poem.
Some extremely rare essences were sourced by Helwani for the project, specifically a unique Boswellia socotrana essence as well as an extract of balsam of Gilead which hadn’t been made since the 18th century.
